When rankings stall, the instinct is to publish more. Often the better move is to improve what's already there. Existing pages have history, may already have links, and are often sitting just outside the positions that get clicks.
Find the pages worth updating
Look in Google Search Console for pages with lots of impressions but few clicks, or pages ranking in positions eight to twenty. They're close. A better page can push them up.
Update the facts
Old prices, outdated years in the title, discontinued services and stale statistics all erode trust. Make sure everything on the page is accurate today.
Answer the question better
Search the page's main keyword and look at what currently ranks. Is there a question those pages answer that yours doesn't? Add it. Is your answer buried halfway down? Move it up.
Improve the page for readers
Add clear subheadings, shorten long paragraphs, include real photos or examples, and make the next step obvious.
Strengthen internal links
Link to the updated page from newer related articles and from your service pages, so search engines and visitors can find it.
Don't change the URL
Keep the same address unless there's a strong reason not to. If you must change it, redirect the old URL to the new one.
That's why our plans include monthly optimization of existing pages alongside new content. It's often where the quickest gains are.
